Cabling work on leading road areas in Naantali harbor to cause traffic disruptions

Naantalin Energia Oy is significantly strengthening the local distribution network with new 110 kV cable connections. The cabling work will be carried out along the road sections Satamatie – Järveläntie – Viljatie – Viestitie. The work will be completed in phases along the cable routes, with the estimated total duration from February 24 to July 31, 2025. During this period, excavation for cable trenches and cabling operations, along with machinery used in the road areas, will cause disruptions to traffic and pedestrian movement on these roads.

The most significant disruptions to traffic and pedestrians will occur on Satamatie, where one lane will be closed from approximately February 24 to March 21, 2025. For safety reasons, the initial section of Satamatie will be completely closed to all traffic and pedestrians from February 24 to March 31, 2025. During this time, all traffic to the harbor will be redirected via Viestitie and Järveläntie.

Traffic to and from the Luonnonmaa Terminal and Kantasatama will be directed according to the temporary traffic arrangements in place at the time. The alternative route is as follows:
Satamatie – Viestitie – Luolalankatu – E18 Turku Ring Road – Käköläntie – Kukolantie.
