Solar energy for Stevena property needs

At the end of August, Stevena introduced solar panels on the roof of the maintenance hall in Hanko. For a solar power plant, Hanko is a great location because there is plenty of sunshine.

  • The power plant has a capacity of 26.28 kWp and an estimated annual production of 23,000 kWh.
  • There are 72 panels on the roof, total of 140 m2
  • CO2 emissions will be reduced by a total of 3.1 tonnes per year and over the 30-year lifetime of the power plant by more than 90 tonnes.

Most of the energy obtained from the solar power plant is utilised in an energy-efficient geothermal heating system that keeps Stevena’s properties in Hanko warm. In addition, the energy from the solar power plant is enough to charge our electric hybrid bus.
